• The Hunter/Equitation discipline is the MOST popular competitive riding activity in the USA! 65% of the horses that leave Holland go to the USA, many to this discipline.

• JULY 11-13, 2025 the Baran Global Hunter Classic will be held at Tops International, Valkenswaard with €300,000 in prize money, flying in many top Hunter horses from the USA to showcase the Hunter sport in the European market in a way that has never been done before!

While there is high profile publicity for the Hunter sport, show your customers that you are helping to bring the sport to them personally!

* HJEE began entirely through private funding from Horsewomen who felt the need was too important and the ‘Call to Action’ was too strong to ignore. Without government funding this motivated group of volunteers, devoted Judges flying in from America, and dedicated organizers have already put on 42 Horse shows throughout Holland and in Belgium, over 100 clinics, 10 €1000 Hunter Derbys and an Equitation Medal competition with a Grand Prize awarded of 2 weeks all expenses paid training trip to Wellington, Florida.

HJEE welcomes donations from Universities/Colleges for example with Equine Studies programs, Stud Book or Breeding Associations, private individuals, clubs or charitable organizations that wish to support horsemanship and education in the equestrian jumping sport, encourage equestrian participation of a wider demographic and encourage understanding of horse/pony welfare in the equestrian jumping sport. If you care about this topic here is a meaningful way to put your funds to work with direct impact for the people and the animals.

• Safer more animal friendly jumping materials
•Breeding Awareness Programs for Hunter Horses and Ponies
• Expanded educational opportunities for youth and professionals
• Youth exchange programs
• Practical clinics for implementation of Hunter/Equitation activities in Maneges/Riding schools
• Community outreach for equine welfare.

Our equestrian partners are also multi-talented; Some horses and ponies excel at the Hunter and Equitation disciplines as it fits their talent and temperament particularly well. Many riders, enjoy the chance to engage in competition over fences without the pressure of the clock and find freedom to focus on their skills and enjoyment.

Furthermore, some riders who have had difficulties in show jumping have spent time riding in Hunter or Equitation competitions to regain their confidence and skills to then return to Show Jumping once again. HJEE is keenly focused to encourage horsemanship /animal welfare in our training, our clinics, at our Horse Shows and via shared educational materials.
